At-Tin

وَٱلتِّينِ وَٱلزَّيْتُونِ۝١

Saheeh InternationalBy the fig and the olive

Abdel HaleemBy the fig, by the olive,

وَطُورِ سِينِينَ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] Mount Sinai

Abdel Haleemby Mount Sinai,

وَهَـٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ ٱلْأَمِينِ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] this secure city [i.e., Makkah],

Abdel Haleemby this safe town,

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ فِىٓ أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalWe have certainly created man in the best of stature;

Abdel HaleemWe create man in the finest state

ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَـٰهُ أَسْفَلَ سَـٰفِلِينَ۝٥

Saheeh InternationalThen We return him to the lowest of the low,

Abdel Haleemthen reduce him to the lowest of the low,

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ۝٦

Saheeh InternationalExcept for those who believe and do righteous deeds, for they will have a reward uninterrupted.

Abdel Haleemexcept those who believe and do good deeds–– they will have an unfailing reward.

فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِٱلدِّينِ۝٧

Saheeh InternationalSo what yet causes you to deny the Recompense?

Abdel HaleemAfter this, what makes you [man] deny the Judgement?

أَلَيْسَ ٱللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ۝٨

Saheeh InternationalIs not Allāh the most just of judges?

Abdel HaleemIs God not the most decisive of judges?
