Upcoming Sisters' Events
All Events →Etiquette With The Qur’an [Kitaab Tibyaan Fi-Adaab Hamalatil-Qur’an]
This class will focus on a book following the purpose of bettering your character according to the Quran. We will be exploring the manners, etiquettes and responsibilities of Muslims on campus. The session will cover key teachings from the book, including sincerity, good character, respect for the Qur'an, the importance of seeking knowledge and the qualities that should be developed by those who carry the Qur'an. Alongside studying the text, the class will encourage attendees to reflect on their own personal growth and relationship with the Qur'an. It will explore how engaging with the Quran should not only increase a person's knowledge, but also positively influence their character, actions, mindset and daily life. Attendees will be encouraged to consider how they can develop consistency in their Qur'anic practice, improve their manners and character, and use the Qur'an as a source of guidance for their personal and spiritual development. The aim is for attendees to leave with a greater understanding of the responsibilities that come with learning the Qur'an, as well as practical reflections that can help them continue growing throughout their university journey and beyond.
Roots Workshop External Attendees | Seerah Series
A weekly educational programme designed to help attendees develop a deeper understanding of Islam through the structured Roots modules. This term, the focus will be on the history and life (Seerah) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), exploring key events, lessons, and the character of the Prophet. Each session will include engaging explanations delivered by a student speaker, opportunities for discussion and questions, interactive activities, and personal reflection. The workshop aims to strengthen Islamic knowledge, encourage practical implementation of the lessons learned, and provide a welcoming environment for learning and spiritual growth. If you are a current student at Aston, please come down, there is no need to sign up!
