Abdel HaleemWhat will explain to you what the night-comer is?

Saheeh InternationalIt is the piercing star

Abdel HaleemThe piercing star––

Saheeh InternationalThere is no soul but that it has over it a protector.

Abdel Haleemthere is a watcher over every soul.

Saheeh InternationalHe was created from a fluid, ejected,

Abdel HaleemHe is created from spurting fluid,

Saheeh InternationalEmerging from between the backbone and the ribs.

Abdel Haleemthen he emerges from between the backbone and breastbone:

Saheeh InternationalBy the sky which sends back

Abdel HaleemBy the sky and its recurring rain,

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the earth which splits,

Abdel Haleemby the earth that cracks open!

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, it [i.e., the Qur’ān] is a decisive statement,

Abdel HaleemThis is truly a decisive statement;

Saheeh InternationalAnd it is not amusement.

Abdel Haleemit is not something to be taken lightly.

Saheeh InternationalIndeed, they are planning a plan,

Abdel HaleemThey plot and scheme,

Abdel Haleembut so do I:

Abdel Haleem[Prophet], let the disbelievers be, let them be for a while.
