Al-Masad

تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ۝١

Saheeh InternationalMay the hands of Abū Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.

Abdel HaleemMay the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined! May he be ruined too!

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalHis wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.

Abdel HaleemNeither his wealth nor his gains will help him:

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalHe will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame

Abdel Haleemhe will burn in the Flaming Fire––

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalAnd his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.

Abdel Haleemand so will his wife, the firewood-carrier,

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ۝٥

Saheeh InternationalAround her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.

Abdel Haleemwith a palm-fibre rope around her neck.
