Al-Ma'un

أَرَءَيْتَ ٱلَّذِى يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ۝١

Saheeh InternationalHave you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

Abdel Haleem[Prophet], have you considered the person who denies the Judgement?

فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِى يَدُعُّ ٱلْيَتِيمَ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalFor that is the one who drives away the orphan

Abdel HaleemIt is he who pushes aside the orphan

وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalAnd does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

Abdel Haleemand does not urge others to feed the needy.

فَوَيْلٌ لِّلْمُصَلِّينَ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalSo woe to those who pray

Abdel HaleemSo woe to those who pray

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَن صَلَاتِهِمْ سَاهُونَ۝٥

Saheeh International[But] who are heedless of their prayer -

Abdel Haleembut are heedless of their prayer;

ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ يُرَآءُونَ۝٦

Saheeh InternationalThose who make show [of their deeds]

Abdel Haleemthose who are all show

وَيَمْنَعُونَ ٱلْمَاعُونَ۝٧

Saheeh InternationalAnd withhold [simple] assistance.

Abdel Haleemand forbid common kindnesses.
