مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalWhat is the Striking Calamity?

Abdel HaleemWhat is the Crashing Blow?

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْقَارِعَةُ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?

Abdel HaleemWhat will explain to you what the Crashing Blow is?

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ ٱلنَّاسُ كَٱلْفَرَاشِ ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalIt is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,

Abdel HaleemOn a Day when people will be like scattered moths

وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٱلْمَنفُوشِ۝٥

Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.

Abdel Haleemand the mountains like tufts of wool,

فَأَمَّا مَن ثَقُلَتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ۝٦

Saheeh InternationalThen as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],

Abdel Haleemthe one whose good deeds are heavy on the scales

فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍ رَّاضِيَةٍ۝٧

Saheeh InternationalHe will be in a pleasant life.

Abdel Haleemwill have a pleasant life,

وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ۝٨

Saheeh InternationalBut as for one whose scales are light,

Abdel Haleembut the one whose good deeds are light

فَأُمُّهُۥ هَاوِيَةٌ۝٩

Saheeh InternationalHis refuge will be an abyss.

Abdel Haleemwill have the Bottomless Pit for his home––

وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا هِيَهْ۝١٠

Saheeh InternationalAnd what can make you know what that is?

Abdel Haleemwhat will explain to you what that is?––

نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌۢ۝١١

Saheeh InternationalIt is a Fire, intensely hot.

Abdel Haleema blazing fire.
