Ad-Duhaa

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ۝١

Saheeh InternationalBy the morning brightness

Abdel HaleemBy the morning brightness

وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalAnd [by] the night when it covers with darkness,

Abdel Haleemand by the night when it grows still,

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalYour Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].

Abdel Haleemyour Lord has not forsaken you [Prophet], nor does He hate you,

وَلَلْـَٔاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalAnd the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

Abdel Haleemand the future will be better for you than the past;

وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ۝٥

Saheeh InternationalAnd your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

Abdel Haleemyour Lord is sure to give you so much that you will be well satisfied.

أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًا فَـَٔاوَىٰ۝٦

Saheeh InternationalDid He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

Abdel HaleemDid He not find you an orphan and shelter you?

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّا فَهَدَىٰ۝٧

Saheeh InternationalAnd He found you lost and guided [you],

Abdel HaleemDid He not find you lost and guide you?

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًا فَأَغْنَىٰ۝٨

Saheeh InternationalAnd He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

Abdel HaleemDid He not find you in need and make you self-sufficient?

فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ۝٩

Saheeh InternationalSo as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

Abdel HaleemSo do not be harsh with the orphan

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ۝١٠

Saheeh InternationalAnd as for the petitioner, do not repel [him].

Abdel Haleemand do not chide the one who asks for help;

وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ۝١١

Saheeh InternationalBut as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].

Abdel Haleemtalk about the blessings of your Lord.
