Saheeh InternationalWhatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth exalts Allāh, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
Abdel HaleemEverything in the heavens and earth glorifies God––He is the Almighty, the Wise.
Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, why do you say what you do not do?
Abdel HaleemYou who believe, why do you say things and then do not do them?
Saheeh InternationalGreatly hateful in the sight of Allāh is that you say what you do not do.
Abdel HaleemIt is most hateful to God that you say things and then do not do them;
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, Allāh loves those who fight in His cause in a row as though they are a [single] structure joined firmly.
Abdel HaleemGod truly loves those who fight in solid lines for His cause, like a well-compacted wall.
Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention, O Muḥammad], when Moses said to his people, "O my people, why do you harm me while you certainly know that I am the messenger of Allāh to you?" And when they deviated, Allāh caused their hearts to deviate. And Allāh does not guide the defiantly disobedient people.
Abdel HaleemMoses said to his people, ‘My people, why do you hurt me when you know that I am sent to you by God?’ When they went astray, God left their hearts to stray: God does not guide rebellious people.
Saheeh InternationalAnd [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, "O Children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger of Allāh to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger to come after me, whose name is Aḥmad." But when he came to them with clear evidences, they said, "This is obvious magic."
Abdel HaleemJesus, son of Mary, said, ‘Children of Israel, I am sent to you by God, confirming the Torah that came before me and bringing good news of a messenger to follow me whose name will be Ahmad.’ Yet when he came to them with clear signs, they said, ‘This is obviously sorcery.’
Saheeh InternationalAnd who is more unjust than one who invents about Allāh untruth while he is being invited to Islām. And Allāh does not guide the wrongdoing people.
Abdel HaleemWho could be more wrong than someone who invents lies against God when called to submit to Him? God does not guide the wrongdoers:
Saheeh InternationalThey want to extinguish the light of Allāh with their mouths, but Allāh will perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.
Abdel Haleemthey wish to put His light out with their mouths. But He will perfect His light, even though the disbelievers hate it;
Saheeh InternationalIt is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to manifest it over all religion, although those who associate others with Allāh dislike it.
Abdel Haleemit is He who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to show that it is above all [other] religions, even though the idolaters hate it.
Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, shall I guide you to a transaction that will save you from a painful punishment?
Abdel HaleemYou who believe, shall I show you a bargain that will save you from painful torment?
Saheeh International[It is that] you believe in Allāh and His Messenger and strive in the cause of Allāh with your wealth and your lives. That is best for you, if you only knew.
Abdel HaleemHave faith in God and His Messenger and struggle for His cause with your possessions and your persons––that is better for you, if only you knew-
Saheeh InternationalHe will forgive for you your sins and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow and pleasant dwellings in gardens of perpetual residence. That is the great attainment.
Abdel Haleemand He will forgive your sins, admit you into Gardens graced with flowing streams, into pleasant dwellings in the Gardens of Eternity. That is the supreme triumph.
Saheeh InternationalAnd [you will obtain] another [favor] that you love - victory from Allāh and an imminent conquest; and give good tidings to the believers.
Abdel HaleemAnd He will give you something else that will really please you: His help and an imminent breakthrough. [Prophet], give the faithful the good news.
Saheeh InternationalO you who have believed, be supporters of Allāh, as when Jesus, the son of Mary, said to the disciples, "Who are my supporters for Allāh?" The disciples said, "We are supporters of Allāh." And a faction of the Children of Israel believed and a faction disbelieved. So We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.
Abdel HaleemYou who believe, be God’s helpers. As Jesus, son of Mary, said to the disciples, ‘Who will come with me to help God?’ The disciples said, ‘We shall be God’s helpers.’ Some of the Children of Israel believed and some disbelieved: We supported the believers against their enemy and they were the ones who came out on top.
