Saheeh InternationalOf it there is no preventer.
Abdel Haleemit cannot be put off––
Saheeh InternationalOn the Day the heaven will sway with circular motion
Abdel Haleemon the Day when the sky sways back and forth
Saheeh InternationalAnd the mountains will pass on, departing -
Abdel Haleemand the mountains float away.
Saheeh InternationalThen woe, that Day, to the deniers,
Abdel HaleemWoe on that Day to those who deny the Truth,
Saheeh InternationalWho are in [empty] discourse amusing themselves.
Abdel Haleemwho amuse themselves with idle chatter:
Saheeh InternationalThe Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],
Abdel Haleemon that Day they will be thrust into the Fire of Hell.
Saheeh International"This is the Fire which you used to deny.
Abdel Haleem‘This is the Fire you used to deny.
Saheeh InternationalThen is this magic, or do you not see?
Abdel HaleemSo is this sorcery? Do you still not see it?
Saheeh International[Enter to] burn therein; then be patient or impatient - it is all the same for you. You are only being recompensed [for] what you used to do."
Abdel HaleemBurn in it––it makes no difference whether you bear it patiently or not–– you are only being repaid for what you have done.’
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, the righteous will be in gardens and pleasure,
Abdel HaleemThose who were mindful of God are in Gardens and in bliss,
Saheeh InternationalEnjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.
Abdel Haleemrejoicing in their Lord’s gifts: He has saved them from the torment of the Blaze,
Saheeh International[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."
Abdel Haleem‘Eat and drink with healthy enjoyment as a reward for what you have done.’
Saheeh InternationalThey will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.
Abdel HaleemThey are comfortably seated on couches arranged in rows; We pair them with beautiful-eyed maidens;
Saheeh InternationalAnd those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants, and We will not deprive them of anything of their deeds. Every person, for what he earned, is retained.
Abdel HaleemWe unite the believers with their offspring who followed them in faith–– We do not deny them any of the rewards for their deeds: each person is in pledge for his own deeds––
Saheeh InternationalAnd We will provide them with fruit and meat from whatever they desire.
Abdel HaleemWe provide them with any fruit or meat they desire.
Saheeh InternationalThey will exchange with one another a cup [of wine] wherein [results] no ill speech or commission of sin.
Abdel HaleemThey pass around a cup which does not lead to any idle talk or sin.
Saheeh InternationalThere will circulate among them [servant] boys [especially] for them, as if they were pearls well-protected.
Abdel HaleemDevoted youths like hidden pearls wait on them.
Saheeh InternationalAnd they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
Abdel HaleemThey turn to one another and say,
Saheeh InternationalThey will say, "Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allāh].
Abdel Haleem‘When we were still with our families [on earth] we used to live in fear––
Saheeh InternationalSo Allāh conferred favor upon us and protected us from the punishment of the Scorching Fire.
Abdel HaleemGod has been gracious to us and saved us from the torment of intense heat-
Saheeh InternationalIndeed, we used to supplicate Him before. Indeed, it is He who is the Beneficent, the Merciful."
Abdel HaleemWe used to pray to Him: He is the Good, the Merciful One.’
Saheeh InternationalSo remind, [O Muḥammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman.
Abdel HaleemSo [Prophet] remind [people]. By the grace of your Lord [Prophet], you are neither oracle nor madman.
Saheeh InternationalOr do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time"?
Abdel HaleemIf they say, ‘He is only a poet: we shall await his fate,’
Saheeh InternationalSay, "Wait, for indeed I am, with you, among the waiters."
Abdel Haleemsay, ‘Wait if you wish; I too am waiting’-
Saheeh InternationalOr do their minds command them to [say] this, or are they a transgressing people?
Abdel Haleemdoes their reason really tell them to do this, or are they simply insolent people?
Saheeh InternationalOr do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe.
Abdel HaleemIf they say, ‘He has made it up himself’- they certainly do not believe-
Saheeh InternationalThen let them produce a statement like it, if they should be truthful.
Abdel Haleemlet them produce one like it, if what they say is true.
Saheeh InternationalOr were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]?
Abdel HaleemWere they created without any agent? Were they the creators?
Saheeh InternationalOr did they create the heavens and the earth? Rather, they are not certain.
Abdel HaleemDid they create the heavens and the earth? No! They do not have faith.
Saheeh InternationalOr have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]?
Abdel HaleemDo they possess your Lord’s treasures or have control over them?
Saheeh InternationalOr have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority [i.e., proof].
Abdel HaleemDo they have a ladder to climb, in order to eavesdrop [on Heaven’s secrets]? Let their eavesdropper produce clear proof.
Saheeh InternationalOr has He daughters while you have sons?
Abdel HaleemDoes God have daughters while you have sons?
Saheeh InternationalOr do you, [O Muḥammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
Abdel HaleemDo you [Prophet] demand a payment from them that would burden them with debt?
Saheeh InternationalOr have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?
Abdel HaleemDo they have [access to] the unseen? Could they write it down?
Saheeh InternationalOr do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan.
Abdel HaleemDo they think they can ensnare you? It is the disbelievers who have been ensnared.
Saheeh InternationalOr have they a deity other than Allāh? Exalted is Allāh above whatever they associate with Him.
Abdel HaleemDo they really have another god besides God? God is far above anything they set alongside Him.
Saheeh InternationalAnd if they were to see a fragment from the sky falling, they would say, "[It is merely] clouds heaped up."
Abdel HaleemEven if they saw a piece of heaven falling down on them, they would say, ‘Just a heap of clouds,’
Saheeh InternationalSo leave them until they meet their Day in which they will be struck insensible -
Abdel Haleemso leave them, Prophet, until they face the Day when they will be thunderstruck,

Saheeh InternationalAnd indeed, for those who have wronged is a punishment before that, but most of them do not know.
Abdel HaleemAnother punishment awaits the evildoers, though most of them do not realize it.
