Surah 114 · Makki · 6 ayat

An-Nas

Mankind

الناس

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلنَّاسِ۝١

Saheeh InternationalSay, "I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,

Abdel HaleemSay, ‘I seek refuge with the Lord of people,

مَلِكِ ٱلنَّاسِ۝٢

Saheeh InternationalThe Sovereign of mankind,

Abdel Haleemthe Controller of people,

إِلَـٰهِ ٱلنَّاسِ۝٣

Saheeh InternationalThe God of mankind,

Abdel Haleemthe God of people,

مِن شَرِّ ٱلْوَسْوَاسِ ٱلْخَنَّاسِ۝٤

Saheeh InternationalFrom the evil of the retreating whisperer -

Abdel Haleemagainst the harm of the slinking whisperer––

ٱلَّذِى يُوَسْوِسُ فِى صُدُورِ ٱلنَّاسِ۝٥

Saheeh InternationalWho whispers [evil] into the breasts of mankind -

Abdel Haleemwho whispers into the hearts of people––

مِنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ۝٦

Saheeh InternationalFrom among the jinn and mankind".

Abdel Haleemwhether they be jinn or people.’
